Made by mountain people for mountain people.
Welcome to the Pyrenees Mountain Festival! An event born from passion, respect and constant crave for mountains.
Mountains cover almost 25% of Earth surface and sustain the life of over 12% of our planet’s population. Even though they form such an immense part of our lives, there’s still a big gap in modern education when it comes to their origin, protection and most importantly the safe and responsible way of enjoying them. Throughout life, we learn how to swim or draw without anyone expecting us to become professional swimmers or painters. And even though so many of us spend our free time hiking or running in the mountains, the big chunk of the population has never had any previous mountain education, training or even first response class. We want to change that.
Two days of panels, talks, workshops from mountain people to all of you who love to spend your weekends, holidays, training in the Pyrenees mountains or those who are lucky enough to call them their office. Doesn’t matter the level or knowledge you have in and about those mountains, everyone will be able to learn and find out something new and interesting from the field of guiding, rescue & medicine, geography, geology, physiotherapy, nutrition, sustainability and more! We believe that with the common goal of being well-prepared and safer in the mountains we can build a community of people who enjoy the outdoors in an adventurous but responsible way. Ready to become a part of it?
Meet our speakers
30 – 31 OCTOBER OF 2021
Join us in the biggest plogging event in the Pyrenees Mountains!
Plogging – the combination of words, the Swedish verbs ´plocka upp´ (pick up) and ´jogga´ (jog) is a fitness trend and nowadays even a global movement, that turns casual run into a more environmentally friendly activity.
Join us, at the ¨Pyrenees Mountain Festival¨ and ¨Kilian Jornet Foundation¨, in this active form of cleaning our mountains and from the 1st of August until the 30th of September (and for as long as you wish afterwards ;)) when enjoying outdoors running or hiking, pick up the trash, segregate it and bring it to one of the two points: Tourism Office of Camprodon or Setcases. Make sure to take a photo of your activity, upload it on Instagram and tag @pyreneesmountainfestival, @kilianjornetfoundation and use our hashtag #cleanpyrenees. 10 most creative photos will be presented on the big screen at the Pyrenees Mountain Festival between the 30th and 31st of October in Camprodon.
We and the mountains are counting on you!
