In my case to say that Rubén was my guide in Iceland and I repeated with Islas Lofoten, who is a great professional, who made us enjoy the environment on both occasions and who knows how to adapt the group to each one's needs without reducing the content of what is expected of the trip. Thank you Rubén, see you next time. I highly recommend 5elementravel. A hug

A great vacation! A group with very good harmony was generated. We ended up being a family. The entire route, the hiking, the excursions, the ice activities,... were transformed into exquisite moments of discovery and emotion. Rubén discovered us with his excellence of know-how, as a mountain guide, those highlands of Iceland, unique in our eyes, with their magnificent nature. I recommend the experience to everyone who wants to discover that Iceland, away from typical tourism, discovering exciting corners. We will return with them, to another new adventure.

The trip of my life.
I can only say that EVERYTHING has turned out perfect and even more so in Iceland because the weather changes a lot.
Rubén (the guide) has managed to adapt the plan and find solutions according to the weather, and it seems that he lives in Iceland since he knows all the roads. In short, if I could repeat, I wouldn't hesitate 🤩

Day 1

VENICE – CORTINA D’AMPEZZO

Upon our arrival in Venice, our guide will welcome us and pick us up at the airport. From there, in our private vehicle, we will head north towards Belluno, until we reach our destination: Cortina d’Ampezzo.
Once settled, we will explore this charming alpine town, with time to stroll through its streets, do some shopping or visit its most emblematic corners.
In the afternoon, we will take a gentle walk to begin to savor the impressive landscapes that surround us and prepare for everything that awaits us in the coming days of this adventure.
During the following four nights, we will stay in a cozy Italian villa, reserved exclusively for our group.

Day 2

CORTINA D’AMPEZZO – TRE CIME LAVAREDO – LAGO MISURINA

We begin our first day of the route with an ascent from Lake Misurina towards the Cadini di Misurina area, a dreamlike landscape dominated by towers and limestone needles that seem sculpted by the wind and the passage of time.
At noon we will reach the iconic Tre Cime di Lavaredo, the most recognizable mountains of the Dolomites.
During the tour, we will enjoy its different perspectives and the majesty of this alpine environment.
At the end of the route, we will return to Cortina d’Ampezzo, where we can rest and savor the exquisite local cuisine.

Day 3

CORTINA D’AMPEZZO – VIA FERRATA – LAGAZUOI

The day begins with a breakfast overlooking the mountains of Monte Cristallo, preparing us for a day full of adventure. Today we will embark on one of the best via ferratas in the Dolomites: the Via Ferrata degli Alpini.
This route, in addition to offering us impressive panoramic views of the Cinque Torri, will take us to the base of the imposing Lagazuoi peak. Once at the top, we will visit its refuge, from where we can admire the views of the entire southern area of the Dolomites, including the Marmolada massif.

For the descent, we will visit the open-air museum of the First World War, a unique experience that will transport us to the times when these mountains were the scene of intense fighting.
After a day full of emotions, we will return to Cortina d’Ampezzo to enjoy the town and its surroundings.
The via ferrata will be carried out with a guide and will include all the necessary equipment.

Day 4

CORTINA D’AMPEZZO – SORAPIS – CINQUE TORRI

Our adventure continues in the Passo Tre Croci, a mountain pass located between the majestic peaks of Monte Cristallo and Punta Sorapis.
Today’s route will take us to Lago di Sorapis, famous for its mesmerizing turquoise color. Along the way, we will cross forests of pine and fir trees in the high mountains, on a hike that will take up the entire morning.

But the day does not end here. In the afternoon we will go to Cinque Torri, where we will do a trekking through these spectacular rock formations. We can also explore the remains of trenches and shelters from the First World War, a historical testimony that integrates perfectly with the alpine landscape.
At night, we will return to Cortina d’Ampezzo to recharge our batteries and enjoy our last night in the town.

Day 5

CORTINA D’AMPEZZO – MONTE CRISTALO – VIA FERRATA

Today we will explore one of the most impressive massifs in the region: Monte Cristallo.
Our goal will be to reach the Guido Lorenzi Refuge, located at an altitude of 3,000 meters. For the more adventurous, this day will include an exciting crossing through the Via Ferrata Ivano Dibona, an aerial route of moderate difficulty with spectacular views of the massif and the Cortina valley.

Like the previous day, the via ferrata will be carried out with a guide and will include all the necessary equipment. After this adventure, we will return to Cortina d’Ampezzo to enjoy our last night in the capital of the Dolomites.

Day 6

CORTINA D’AMPEZZO – MONTE CIVETTA

We leave the hustle and bustle of Cortina to enter the Monte Civetta Natural Park, a less traveled but equally impressive corner.
On our route today, we will immerse ourselves in an idyllic landscape: alpine meadows, red pine forests, crystal-clear lakes and cozy mountain huts, where we can enjoy a good coffee with panoramic views.

It will be a day of connection with nature in its purest state, the perfect way to say goodbye to the Dolomites. At night, we will stay in the area, in a mountain hotel.

Day 7

MONTE CIVETTA – VENICE- AIRPORT

Our last morning in the Dolomites will begin with a short morning hike, to say goodbye to these majestic mountains before returning to Venice.
From there, we will take our flight back home, with memories full of unforgettable landscapes and the satisfaction of having lived a unique adventure in the heart of the Italian Alps.
